and the girl who made herself make and sign a contract promising to never love again, told the boy who was afraid of love.. that she loved him.
And he said it back.
You know, i always wanted to witness a moment like that. We were outside the Coffee Hag, and I was upset. My best friend was close to death. He was holding me, and he asked if i was fine. I said i was. “no you’re not.”
But, then he told me just to not give up on him. I said i wouldnt, as long as he promised to stay alive.
There was a man sitting behind us, and he was smoking a ciggarette. He must have been about 30. I could tell he could hear everything, you can just sense that sort of thing, you know?
But anyways, We were at our end of discussion, and i felt so lonely. So scared, because If i loose my best friend, well thats not AS bad as loosing both of my favorite people, you know? id rather it be neither. But just then, i realized that i actually really needed him. If he gave up on me, what else would i have? Its not even just that, but.. It came to a point that i couldnt hold back those words anymore. I really could not. He started to walk away, to the door. But i pulled him back in.
“Wait, i have to tell you something, I love you.” And then i sort of just walked away really fast, and left him standing there.
Later on he gave me my Chai Soy Latte. There was a little note on there, and it said “Je Taime Voux.” I love you too.
Thank you, whoever gave him to me, thank you so much.
and so the story goes on;
